About the Book

New Fictional Book tells a thrilling story about an accounting scandal set in Chicago

The story begins when Richard Elliott and Jude Levy, both auditors at the large Chicago accounting firm of Phelps McAllister, discover that their client has engaged in improper accounting practices which compels them to disclose. Their action results in the death of Richard and allows their client to remain a high-flier in the stock market. Twenty years later, Jude Levy and Richard’s son, William, find themselves engaged in an audit with the same client, but this time the stakes are higher, and the scandal more far-reaching. Will the two auditors be able to bring their abusive client to justice or will they ultimately fail? Only time can tell.

Inspired by the recent wave of accounting scandals and the failure of Arthur Andersen & Co., Children of the Night brings to readers a realistic portrayal of greed, corruption and desperation that exist in the financial industry. Though it is a work of fiction, the story provides a glimpse of the human side of the business and how people’s lives are affected by events that happen beyond their control.
